About ‘Seriously Red’
Seriously Red, the musical dramedy that reps the first feature from Rose Byrne’s Dollhouse Pictures. While Dollhouse launched five years ago, and the Seriously Red screenplay by Krew Boylan has been in the fold, Byrne will be part of the newly announced ensemble cast along with her Emmy-Winning partner Bobby Cannavale and Daniel Webber (Netflix’s The Dirt, Escape From Pretoria). Arclight Films has boarded to handle worldwide distribution rights with Grace Otto (The Last Impressario) directing. Village Roadshow is distributing the film.

Seriously Red is a feature film from Executive Producer, Rose Byrne, with Dollhouse Pictures, Jessica Carrera and Robyn Kershaw Productions. This is a wonderful meeting of creative minds and the first feature production for Dollhouse Pictures, a female-led production company formed to create commercially-driven stories with female leads that are set up for box office success internationally. Films like BRIDESMAIDS and TRAINWRECK set the tone and locally THE DRESSMAKER, LOOKING FOR ALIBRANDI and RIDE LIKE A GIRL.

In the rowdy and rambunctious musical comedy, Red (played by Byrne) is at a crossroads in her life. A vivacious and hilarious red haired woman grappling with high expectations and low self-esteem, she pours herself a cup of ambition and trades her 9 to 5 career in real estate for a life under the spotlight as a Dolly Parton impersonator. After misreading her work party’s dress code, Red tumbles outta bed into a new world of tribute artists and impersonators in her wild and messy journey that includes romancing a Kenny Rogers impersonator. Red has to lose herself in order to find herself. As Dolly Parton says, “Be Yourself Because Everyone is taken.”

Dolly Parton is writing four new songs for the film!

Storyline

'A Family’s Fury' revolves around a group of adopted children with extraordinary abilities seeking to get revenge against an evil corporation that killed their adoptive parents. The story offers a particularly moving look at blended family dynamics, as well as the strong sense of loyalty and devotion that can arise therein. The story presents a seamless marriage of domestic social commentary, coming-of-age tale, and espionage thriller. A Family’s Fury has plenty of action and fight sequences, and has a strong emotional core in the group of adopted children finding solace in one another in tragedy and in training as fighters. Bringing five diverse kids together from different ways of life and smashing them together, is also cause for great drama. The story appeals to mass audiences around the world, and deals with universal themes of loss, betrayal, revenge and family before anything else.
